Phillies and the Best Sister in the World

Laura was resting in the shade of the crab apple tree on a warm summer day in June.

Jason approached. He wanted to play with Laura’s beach ball.

Laura showed Jason how to kick and throw the beach ball. Jason and Laura ran and kicked and threw and chased and played.

When Daddy came outside with a glass of water, Jason ran up to him and grabbed his leg. The ball game was forgotten.

Laura joined Daddy and Jason. She wanted a drink.

Daddy shared his water with Jason and Laura.

Thirst satisfied, Laura and Jason ran off to find further backyard adventures.

Happy birthday to my best friend. My life would be incomplete without you. Thank you for the joy, wisdom, and love you give me every day.

What a great story! I hope your are assembling these pictures and stories into an album for your shelf (like on Shutterfly).

Good idea, Nancy. I have made a couple books through Shutterfly in the past, but haven’t done any in a while. Maybe at the end of the year, I’ll do a blog review and pull a few favorite entries into book format.

Very special, Beth. That’s a birthday gift that will keep on giving for years to come. I still had a few of the books we made; I think I passed them along to Ann. Others sadly were lost in the fire. I wish we had made more. The real fun is in the making; the nostalgic memories are warm fuzzies in later years.

The making is fun. Laura still looks through the books I made for her like the one about Potty Kitty. Sometimes it is hard to take the time to gather photos to remember the moment.

  3. SUPER duper cute. Happy birthday to Jason!
