It was a mother-daughter trip, so the evidence was cleaned up before daddy had a chance to birth the cow. He saw the photo and the first words out of his mouth were, “That is so messy!”

  2. I have to admit that it was YEARS before I let my kids have an ice cream cone after our first experiance with them. I don’t mean that I deprived them of ice cream, it just didn’t get delivered to them on a cone. I realized how complicated it is to eat an ice cream cone. Kind of like driving….

Laura and I agreed that next time we go for ice cream, she will get a cup instead of a cone. She didn’t enjoy the drips. It is complicated to try to keep licking around the cone to make sure it doesn’t de-stabilize and plop to the ground.

Baby Wipes are a glorious wonderful gift at times like this. I find that I have them everywhere, my car, Greg’s truck, two places in the house, in all three of my diaper bags. I often have need of the wipes from wiping little behinds to getting stains out of clothes and cleaning up sticky ooey-gooey messes. She looks as though she thoroughly enjoyed that icecream cone. Were you at a game at the park? She looks as though she has been playing hard.

3 diaper bags! I have a hard time keeping one stocked. Wipes are the do-it-all of motherhood. She enjoyed the ice cream, though it melted faster than she could eat it. Next time, we’re going for a cup. We went to a local farm about a mile from our house. They make their own ice cream and have their own baseball diamond (Field of Dreams style). We walked around looking at the baby goats, emu, donkey, and pot bellied pig as we ate our ice cream. Laura’s shirt had already taken a beating that day – spilled orange juice from lunch and pasta sauce from dinner.

  5. She’s doing pretty darn well with that cone! My neighbors like to hand ice cream to EB over the fence and she’s developed a walk where she’s hunched over so that it doesn’t drip on her. Now we can tell her to do the ice cream walk and she does it on command.

I bet she was un-stickied before you put her into her car seat! Skin is so washable!
